News from the Asian American Ministries of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship:
Announcing the new National Asian American Ministries Director, James Choung!
Dr. James Choung was most recently divisional director of InterVarsity Christian Fellowship in San Diego, and is a faculty associate at Bethel Seminary San Diego on missional leadership development and evangelism. He serves on the advisory panel of Leading Outreach, a part of Christianity Today International. He has also written True Story: A Christianity Worth Believing In and its companion booklet, Based on a True Story (both InterVarsity Press, 2008).
James wrote his D. Min. dissertation on postmodern leadership development at Fuller Theological Seminary, received his M. Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary, and studied management science and marketing at MIT. He has also served on the pastoral staff of an urban church plant and at a megachurch in Seoul, Korea. He likes to travel with his wife, tease his son, play board games with his buddies, hit some jazzy chords on the keys, and swing a racket in hopes of playing something like tennis. He blogs at www.jameschoung.net.
Thrilled to hear the news! Congratulations James!
